Seven Perfect Darts

So close yet so far away. Chucking some arrows last night with my brother, nothing that competitive just throwing for fun. I'd hit a 180 earlier in the night and about an hour later I made it two. When I went back up to the board and I pinned the first treble twenty, the angle of the dart was perfect for me to drop another two on top. I'd now hit back to back 180's, six perfect darts and a third of the way to the perfect leg of darts. I'd never done this before and believe me my legs were like jelly and my hand was shaking all of the place. I went back up to the board and hit my seventh treble twenty, looking down the board I quickly decided to go for the treble nineteen and I pinned the treble seven but it was on the wire! I couldn't believe it, I did jump around a bit and my brother was over the moon. I still don't think it's sunk in yet! At this moment in time I can't see myself getting anywhere close again but I'll give it a go. Looking back at it now I wish I'd continued the leg of the darts as we were that shocked we stopped playing for a bit and forgot I actually had 60 left! It would have been nice to say to people I hit a 10, 11 or 12 darter but the truth is I never finished the leg. Still, I can hold my head up high and say I hit seven perfect darts on my way to the perfect leg.

Taylor Makes History Again!

Thursday 23rd of April 2009 at 21:45, Phil 'The Power' Taylor plays John Part and finishes with a 116 average beating him 8-3. This is the highest 3 dart average in Premier League history! This win for Taylor also means that John Part can't qualify for the Semi-Finals so the four players to qualify are Phil Taylor, James Wade, Mervyn King and Raymond van Barneveld.

Get Well Soon Wayne!

PDC player Wayne Mardle had to drop out of the Premier League today because of the mumps. Apparently it can be quite dangerous when you're older so we hope you get well soon! With Wayne being withdrawn it also means all recorded scores and points have been removed. The biggest sufferer has to be Mervyn King, deducted 4 points and 12 legs. We hope King still qualifies but he faces a massive task playing Terry Jenkins this week and Phil Taylor in the last week. Wade and Taylor look certain semi-finalist but the last two places are still up for grabs. The tournament has also introduced challenge games to make sure we see four games a night. Players include Dennis Priestley, Adrian Lewis and former BDO players Robert Thornton, Mark Webster and Gary Anderson. We are extremely looking forward to see Dennis back in action at Sheffield, best of luck Dennis and get well soon Wayne!
